Booking Policies: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY BEFORE BOOKING. It is the responsibility of the client to familiarize yourself with our policies listed below before requesting a makeup appointment. 

 How to submit a Makeup Appointment request:

Please submit any and all Makeup Appointment requests via email to Allow 24-48 hours for response. Be sure to include:

  • Name
  • Makeup service (see below)
  • Requested date of makeup service
  • Requested time of makeup service

If your request does not include these four details, you will not receive a response. 


To limit the possibility of scheduling conflicts, all standard makeup appointments may only be booked up to 1 month in advance. This does not apply to Bridal, or Buff & Blur Makeup Courses. 

Deposits & Final Payment:

All standard makeup appointments require a $25 deposit. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE - NON TRANSFERABLE (you may not transfer your deposit to another person), and will be applied to your total service balance. You will receive instructions on submitting deposit after appointment availability has been confirmed. Once confirmed, it is best to submit deposit as soon as possible. If deposit is not received within a timely manner, you risk the possibility of someone else securing your appointment time. All makeup appointments are first come, first serve and no appointment slots will be held without deposit. NO DEPOSIT, NO APPOINTMENT.

 Final payment is due in exact Cash before services can begin. No Exceptions! This includes any acquired lates fees and/or add ons. Any other form of payment will result in a $10 upcharge.

Hours of Operation:

Our normal hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 7pm. Makeup appointments outside of this time frame can be requested and will require an additional early/after-hour fee to be submitted with deposit. All Sunday - Monday standard makeup appointments will require an additional $30 fee to be submitted with deposit. If you wish to book a Sunday - Monday appointment outside of normal business hours, the early/after-hour fee will also be required. See fee schedule below: 

All fees must be submitted in addition to standard $25 deposit to secure. Remaining balance due at time of appointment.

Location, Tardiness, Rescheduling, Cancellations:

We are located in the New Orleans surrounding area. Exact address will be provided to you in confirmation email, which you will receive within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time. Please be on time. To be on time means to be in the makeup chair; not coming up the street, not in the parking lot, not in the restroom, etc. A $20 late fee will be added to your remaining balance if you are 10 minutes or later to your appointment. After 15 minutes, you do not have an appointment. No call - No shows will be blocked from booking in the future. Please be respectful of Shasta Shantel Makeup and other clients. 

If you cannot make your appointment, please notify a minimum of 24 hours in advance so that you may reschedule. Deposit only applies to client who has originally requested appointment and is non-transferrable, meaning you may not transfer unused deposit to another person. Clients are only allowed to reschedule upon prior notice once, and any additional changes will require a new deposit. Rescheduled appointments may only take place within 30 days of original appointment and are subject to availability. This does not apply to same day cancellations or no shows. All deposits that do not adhere to these terms will be forfeited.

Same Day Appointments & Changes:

Standard makeup appointments may be booked on the same day that they are requested, so long as the slot is available. There is no additional charge for same day appointments requested during normal business hours, however, total service amount must be submitted in order to secure. By booking a same-day appointment, you relinquish our Rescheduling - Cancellation policy. For this reason, it is not recommended to book a same day appointment if you are not certain you will be able to make the appointment. 

Any same-day changes to a previously scheduled time slot may be requested, but are subject to availability and will require a $25 change fee. 

Courtesy Rules:

Positivity only! Please be respectful of Shasta Shantel Makeup and other clients. While we do not anticipate client negligence, Shasta Shantel Makeup reserves the right to deny or cancel appointment.

No extra guest will be allowed in suite. Please do not bring any extra people with you to your appointment. No children. No parents. No friends. No spouse/partner. All makeup sessions are closed and if you insist on having someone with you, they will be instructed to wait in the lobby until your service is completed.

Please arrive to your appointment with a clean, bare face, free of any unwanted facial hair (mustache, chin, cheek area, etc), and with groomed brows (waxed, tweezed, threaded, etc). This is extremely important, and is necessary for services to be performed properly. If brows or facial hair require maintenance, a small fee will be added to your balance (see Simple Services below). 

Please plan accordingly. Services will not be rushed, therefore, it is recommended not to book an appointment if you have any other obligation immediately after your makeup service. A 2hr window following your makeup appointment is recommended to allow for any unforeseen occurrences. This IS NOT a requirement, but a recommendation. 


Travel for standard makeup appointments can be requested and will require our standard $105 travel fee to be submitted along with deposit. This applies to the New Orleans and surrounding areas ONLY, and location is subject to approval. Please inquire for more details. 

Holiday Appointments:

Standard makeup appointments can be booked for all major holidays and will include an upcharge. Major holidays include: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Mardi Gras Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Fourth of July, etc. Only Full Face makeup services are available to book on holidays, no Simple Services unless add-on. If you are unsure if your appointment date falls under the Holiday category, please inquire. See pricing below. 

Bridal Bookings & Weddings:

Shastackular: Starts at $110*

Duration: Approximately 1hr 15min - 2hrs*

This service may include:

  • 2-5 eyeshadow colors
  • Bold looks (cut crease, glitter, glitter waterline, winged liner, double winged liner, etc.)
  • Shasta Shantel lash of choice (Premium styles are included in this service)
  • Bottom lashes may be requested for additional $10

Holiday Appointments: $130

Brows: $30

  • Brow sculpting using concealer, to define and shape


Brow & Lash Combo: $40

Duration: Approx. 15 - 20min.

This service includes: 

  • Brow fill in using water-resistant pencil

  • Application of Shasta Shantel Makeup lash of choice*

Brow Cleanup: $10

Duration: Approx. 5 - 10 min.

This service includes:

  • Gentle removal of excess brow hairs, using a new disposable dry razor
  • (If applicable) Trimming of excess brow hairs, using sanitary scissors


Facial Hair Cleanup: $15

Duration: Approx. 10 min.

This service includes: 

  • Gentle removal of facial vellus hair, also known as "peach fuzz", using a new disposable dry razor
  • Gentle removal of mustache hairs, using a dry razor
  • Brow maintenance, in which excess hairs are trimmed and/or removed, using a dry razor

Disclaimer: Please note that Brow Cleanup and Facial Hair Cleanup are simple services, meant only to enhance the results of makeup application and/or brow service. We do not offer waxing, tweezing, threading, advanced dermaplaning, dermabrasion, skin care, exfoliation, etc. All tools used are properly sanitized and all razors are disposed immediately after use. It is not recommended to book this service if you have severe acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, or sunburn. If you have sensitive skin, or have ever experienced a skin reaction to shaving or exfoliating, do not book this service. If you have any skin conditions, health conditions, or open facial wounds/scarring, do not book this service. Shasta Shantel Makeup is not responsible for any skin reactions and will not be held liable. By booking this service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.
